Thinking back

So I just recently turned 30 and for some it's not a big deal and for me it's not too much either but it does make me think about the past and what all I've been through and seen.  I think about how long ago things were and it doesn't seem that long ago till you add up the years like:

12 years ago..I graduated...which  means I could have a kid who is 11 and would only have 7 precious years w/them as a lil child till they were an adult.  (Btw, my oldest is 7 so I have some time left lol)

12 years ago..based off minimum wage pay..I could work 1 hr and put 5 gallons of gas in my car...today you work one hour and get around 2-3 gallons of gas.
Also, I could pay $3 for a pack of Marlboro Reds and get change back..now I smoke cheapies and pay just under $4.

My best friend and I have been friends for 18 years...we now have an adult friendship lol.  Her sister always was a lil kid as we were trying to grow up and be independent and now her sister is an adult herself who drinks and can relate to adult topics.

Agghh time flies but sure is fun and hope many more years of memories and thinking back of how things used to be but things now are still as awesome..well maybe not prices of gas and such..but everything else.

Long time everyone!

Well, it's been a long time since I've been on here..about 3 years now..whew!

Current status of how things are going.  I am married to my best friend that I've known since high school, we just celebrated our 1 yr anniversary in March.  We had a lil girl of our own, miss Emma Alexa, and he adopted my daughter, Zoe, who was born in 2010. (Pic is of father in law with oldest, Lily and youngest, Emma)  We bought a home back in January and live in my hometown now, which is awesome!  I'm a sahm/wahm and between being mommy to 3 girls, cleaning and much more, I crochet to bring in some extra money.  I still have my Etsy shop up and started a business page on Facebook

Last year Hobby Lobby contacted me and asked if I would be a freelancer and test crochet patterns for them and I of course accepted the job and I get to work from home.  Best job ever and I love it!

It's glad to be back and will be posting more!

Warning for all my friends and followers

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know of some bad business I have encountered and had to deal with in the last several months. I've done trading in the past on Etsy and have loved it all and still don't mind trading but have learned to keep a small wall up towards those I don't know too well. I did a trade w/a fellow etsian that started in July. We agreed on doing a trade..from me a huge item that costs tons in yarn and postage and from her a small sculpture that seemed to take her forever to finish. I was ok w/the time taking a bit since I didn't need it asap and it was to represent me being pregnant w/my daughter and I wasn't due till September. Well July turned to August, turned to September and so forth and finally she said she would ship it out..a month later I still dont' have it and she tells me it's ready to be shipped but found me on a web page that supports others who have been screwed over by her. I was on there to see what others had to say to see if I was falling into the same thing. She tells me b/c of that I will not receive my item. I said well then mail my item back b/c if I can't enjoy what I asked for, she shouldn't either. She still hasn't shipped that to me a month later and so I emailed her one last time and pretty much told her thank you for screwing me over, thank you for having me work my ass on while pregnant to get this done for her and taking money from my kids..the money I spent could have been used to buy my kids xmas gifts..but now I can't. I can just say thank goodness for my parents and my friends for helping my kids have a few toys. I also told her what a good mom she is showing to her kids..that she can do this to others and set a good example. I have also read other reviews on this lady from those who have bought from her, recieved the item months later and will never buy from her again.

Please be aware of this seller and any business you may do with her that you may not end up w/your item..or if you do..it may be months later and not worth the hassle. Her shop is ItsAllTakingShape and I'm not one to do calling out but for someone to hurt me this bad..should not hurt my friends and fellow etsians who know how to be true and faithful sellers and be so kind from the bottom of their hearts.

On another note..it's almost xmas..and I'm working my tail off to get xmas gifts done...I've realized that I have so many family members that I may have to start in August/September next year to get everyone done in time.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year if I don't post before then!!!

Happy Sales, Happy Blogs and Happy Crafting!!

Sorry for the lack of pics, but zoe is now a lil over a month old now. We were breastfeeding but she had only gained 7oz in a month so we had to put her on formula and she is now close to 9lbs.!

Just Being Busy

Well for the last few weeks I have been super busy making items for trades with other awesome etsians. I'm finally down to 2 orders to complete and then I can start on making more items to stock my shop up with. I pretty much have all of August to get my shop stocked up as much as possible if sales rise like they did last year around September.
Been trying to find a school to get my daughter enrolled in for Pre-K and alot of schools in the city have had to cut costs and they have shut down several of them forcing those children to go to surrounding schools which cause no room for anyone. I decided to enroll her in a school in my mom's school district area, which is out in the country, but I like the school and figured my daughter will atleast get put on the waiting list just like my 4 yr old brother.
My mom got a call from one of the teachers the other day and she said that since there were several kids on the waiting list that they are going to go ahead and open another classroom so they can attend. So I'm super excited and called the teacher to let her know that I was going to enroll my daughter and she wrote her name down and now I just have to fill out like 10 enrollment papers, already have her backpack and then give them $25 for her school supplies.
I don't think I'm going to cry when my baby goes to school, but I will be very proud of her and hope she does super awesome! She is excited to go to school and is already picking out clothes to wear and hair accessories too lol.
On the pregnancy front, I need to get my butt to the stores and fill out registrys..guess I could possibly do them online but sometimes you find things online that aren't in stores. I have a doc appt next week and can't wait to go to see how big I'm measuring. Last time I went I was measuring 3-4 weeks behind what I actually am but baby was measuring right on time. So pretty much I have a normal size kid in a too small uterus and it hurts like crazy b/c she really has no room to move around even though she kicks me all the time.
